The photo of the library of the Four Seasons Residences in Austin, TX was a collaboration with Fern Santini and Sally Rusch of Abode in Austin Texas – thank you. Thank you also to the staff at the property for arranging the photo shoot. The photo below links to another one of our projects with Abode.
The photos of the magnificent wall of books at the spa of the Icon Brickell Residences in Miami, Florida was a collaboration with Victoria Smith of Yoo Design, the firm of Philippe Starck. Thank you to the management in Florida for coordinating the photo shoot. Links to a couple other projects of ours that we collaborated on with Yoo Design are below.
Our book bundle product for sale just went live this week on the Pottery Barn website and in the catalog. We put a lot of work into making the book bundles for sale and they are very unique decorative accessories. We are thrilled to be working with a big company like the Pottery Barn, owned by Williams Sonoma Inc. and having them recognize the trend towards using books as decorative objects.
The modernist builder Steve Hermann who is quoted in the article is one of our clients. The photo below links to our portfolio. Thank you Steve!

And of course, a big thank you to Penelope Green of the New York Times for writing such a thorough article, and to all the photographers and their beautiful work including Jamie Schwaberow who spent a half day at our warehouse in Boulder Colorado. It was a lot of fun talking with them about the state of the book industry and sharing my thoughts on how book collections can be assembled and books can be modified and integrated into homes and businesses – I’m glad they were so interested in the story and the future of the book.
