Vellum, a type of parchment made from calf skin, was used for writing and binding ancient texts. As printing developed in later centuries, vellum became rarer and served as an indicator of high-quality work. We’ve taken inspiration from antique volumes for this decorative set of books custom-designed to look like vellum. The paper jackets are wrapped around 6 substantially sized law books that have been re-purposed. This is an economical and elegant way to obtain that grand library look we all love, without the expense.
The set pictured here is vellum with light gold lettering and detail – we also offer antique style decorative sets in red, brown, and black and white.
